The newly constructed chemistry laboratory, which is spacious and adequately equipped, is typically used for nanocrystal synthesis and polymer processing. It is equipped with two 4-foot fume hoods, an anaerobic chamber, a drying oven and first-aid equipment. Much wet-lab equipment is also at the laboratory user's disposal.

Each of the fume hoods has a vertical sliding safety glass sash, which offers protection and great visibility to users. The work surface is made from black epoxy resin and it is able to contain spills. The bottom is a standard metal base cabinet vented into the fume hood, which makes it a good storage for any flammable solvents or acids. The drying oven is used for glassware drying.
