The ultrafast lasers in UPL are used for pump/probe experiments with semiconductor-optical amplifiers, time-division multiplexing of fiber Bragg grating sensors and nonlinear optics studies. For the dual-wavelength OPO listed as the following, the signal has a 150 mW average power and tunable from 1.45 1.65 to microns. The idler has a 200mW average power and tunable from 1.50 to 1.53 microns.
